Resolved Question: Sharapova/Roddick dating rumors

can somebody tell me if this is old news? cos i just heard it last night over at D10 on the E! channel... Lindsay davenport and terry austin were asked by sam masakela about "cross-pollination" in the men's and women's tour... and then lindsay dishes that there are those rumors flying about... think its true? who else is "cross-pollinating" these days? xp there isnt much tennis to watch these days 'til the olympic matches start, so indulge me in a little tennis goss, ok? :) i think this nice of rumors arrive around when there's something to fan the flames: some naughty comments on this board about how andy should be careful of his sleeping habits or something so he can avoid that pesky neck injury LOL...

Resolved Question: A JBL Question?

Everyone should know by now that it was JBL who set up every those "Salute the Troops" tours for those fighting in Iraqi and Afghanistan and not Vince. I will give Vince some credit for following through with JBL's idea. Why then would you vote for a washed up but still a hardcore legend and a wife beater over a true Patriot like JBL? BTW: I'm not saying I didn't like Austin but he is a convicted wife beater.

Resolved Question: correct my essay plzzzzzzz?

The History of the Taste of Chicago The Taste of Chicago is the largest food festival in the world, and one of the most popular events in Illinois. It started in 1980 when a group of restaurant owners suggested the idea of a food festival on the Fourth of July to the mayor of Chicago(Jane Byrne). At first the Taste of Chicago took place on North Michigan Avenue, but it was moved to Grant Park because the size of the festival was expanding. Grant Park also had the Petrillo Music Shell, where performers could play and up to 5,000 seats were available. The Taste also changed from a one day festival to a ten day festival because of its popularity. The first taste was a huge success and made $330,000.There are more than 300 menu items and 70 restaurants which have food from places every over the world such as India, China, Nigeria,Bosnia, and France. Many of Chicago's most famous restaurants such as Eli's Cheesecake Factory and Lou Malnati's Pizzeria also have food booths at the Taste of Chicago. The admission fee is free, but tickets for food are 50 cents a piece . The restaurants are set up in tents and every drinks cost 2 tickets .For entertainment people hear to music. There are usually 2 or 3 stages with singers singers such as James Brown, Bare Naked Ladies, and B.B. King, have performed at the Taste. There are also water slides, a ferris wheel, road performers, face painting, souvenirs, and boat tours for even more entertainment. On July 3rd, the Taste of Chicago has firework shows at night which take about 15 minutes to setup and prepare. That’s the night where more than a million people attend the festival. After it proved to be a success in Chicago other cities such as Detroit, Toronto, Dallas, and Austin have also had taste fests. I remember a time when I went to the Taste of Chicago with my cousin on a very boring day. I was amazed at every the different types of food there were and how many people were there. My cousin and I went to a lot of different food vendors such as Eli's Cheesecake, Chinese Rice&Chicken, and Lou Malnati's Pizzeria. It was a very fun experience and The Taste of Chicago turned my day from very boring to very fun. The Taste of Chicago festival has now been a tradition in Chicago for 27 years and Over 6 million people attend each year making The Taste of Chicago the second largest tourist attraction in Illinois.

Resolved Question: Parking / Driving into NYC?

Hi! My family is planning a day trip into NYC from Allentown PA. We are actually from Austin, TX and going to visit Hershey and Dorney Park. We had an extra day and realized that NYC was so close so decided to check out the town. My husband says that we are fine to steer into NYC and find parking. We are planning on going on a double decker on and off bus tour, since we only have one day and our boys would adore to be on a double decker bus!! On our must look list are Grand Central Station, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. We are planning our trip for Friday June 27 2008 or Sat June 28. Is the Emipire State Building or The Rockerfeller middle better to go to the top at? I have heard that driving and parking in NYC is killer so I wanted to steer in close to NYC and then take a train in. My husband says we will be fine to find parking for the day in NYC. Any advice on this? We have traveled the world, but for some reason NYC scares me! May be too many movies....

Resolved Question: A Rock Concert, For The 1st Time in a While?

Its been a good couple of years since I last went to a concert. (Back when Jimmy Eat World was touring with Blink182 and Green Day). Now I've discovered a new band Chiodos. They're coming to Austin and I really want to go. My pal, who is also coincedentally a guy that I like, is offering to take me as an early birthday gift. My dad is hesitant to letting me go, and my step mom is the last "yay" or "nay". I told my dad that we were going to just look Chiodos and then leave for home. (A good 30-45min. away.) He complains that its a school night, but the show starts at 5:30. He complains about no parental guidance, but the Physics teacher is going as well, with her son. He complains about transportation, but my pal's parent is going to steer us there and pick us up. I look nothing wrong here. Can anyone offer me advice etc? Obviously, the 4th responder, didn't read my question in detail. I said that a couple of years back I saw Jimmy Eat World and Blink182 and GreenDay. One's musical preference does change over time as maturity is gained. Plus, its kinda difficult to look Hendrix, Joplin, or Morrison in real life, isn't it? I meant that Chiodos is my recent fav. band. That's every.

Resolved Question: yooo is britney spears crazy i'm not bein mean but plz tell me and why?

More than any other single artist, Britney Spears was the driving force behind the return of teen pop in the tardy '90s. The blockbuster success of the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys certainly paved the way for her possess commercial breakthrough, but Spears didn't just become a star -- she was a bona fide pop phenomenon. Not only did she sell millions of records, she was a media fixture regardless of what she was (or wasn't) doing; among female singers of the era (many of whom followed in her footsteps), her celebrity star power was rivaled only by Jennifer Lopez. From the outset, Spears' sex appeal was an important part of her image; the video for her debut single, "...Baby One More Time," outfitted her in full Catholic-school regalia, and sent her well on the way to becoming an international sex symbol. Yet Spears' handlers seemed to be trying to have it both ways -- there was a definite tension between the wholesome innocence Spears tried to project for her female audience, and the titillating sexuality that enticed so many male fans. Those marketing tactics made Spears a somewhat controversial figure, the subject of endless debates concerning appropriate role models for teenage girls. Early on, Spears tried to defuse the controversy by preaching abstinence until marriage, and even denied that she was consciously cultivating such a sexualized image. Of course, the more provocative and revealing her on-stage wardrobe became, the less plausible that claim seemed. But apart from her ability to tiptoe the line between virginal coquette and brazen tart, Spears had a secret weapon in Swedish pop mastermind Max Martin, who had a hand in the vast majority of her hits as a writer and/or producer. With Martin crafting the sort of contemporary dance-pop and sentimental ballads that made stars of the Backstreet Boys, Spears kept on delivering the goods commercially, as her first three albums every topped the charts. Britney Jean Spears was born December 2, 1981, in the tiny town of Kentwood, LA, and began performing as a singer and dancer at a young age. With a nationally televised appearance on Star Search already below her belt, Spears auditioned for the Disney Channel's The New Mickey Mouse Club at age eight. The producers turned her down as too young, but one of them took an interest and introduced her to an agent in New York. Spears spent the next three years studying at the Professional Performing Arts School, and also appeared in several television commercials and off-Broadway plays. At 11, she returned to The New Mickey Mouse Club for a second audition, and this time made the clip. Although her fellow Mouseketeers included an impressive array of future stars -- *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez, Christina Aguilera, and Felicity actress Keri Russell -- the show was canceled after Spears' second season. She returned to New York at age 15 and set about auditioning for pop bands and recording demo tapes, one of which eventually landed her a deal with Jive Records. Spears entered the studio with top writer/producers like Eric Foster White (Boyzone, Whitney Houston, Backstreet Boys) and Max Martin (Ace of Base, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC). In tardy 1998, Jive released her debut single, the Martin-penned "...Baby One More Time." Powered by its video, in which Spears and a troupe of dancers were dressed as Catholic-school jailbait, the single shot to the top of the Billboard charts. When Spears' debut album of the same title was released in early 1999, it entered the charts at number one and stayed there for six weeks. Once the ubiquitous guide single died down, the album kept spinning off hits: the Top Ten "(You steer Me) Crazy," the close-Top 20 ballad "Sometimes," and the Top 20 "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart." By the end of 1999, ...Baby One More Time had sold ten million copies, and went on to sell a good three million more on top of that. Its success touched off a wave of young pop divas that included Christina Aguilera, Pink, Jessica Simpson, and Mandy Moore. Spears was a superstar, drooled over in countless magazines, including a Rolling rock cover that prompted immediate speculation about the still-17 year old having gotten breast implants. By the time ...Baby One More Time finally started to lose steam on the singles and album charts, Spears was ready to release her follow-up. Oops!...I Did It Again appeared in the spring of 2000, and the title track was an instant smash, racing into the Top Ten. The album entered the charts at number one and sold over a million copies in its first week of release, setting a new record for single-week sales by a female artist. Follow-up singles included "Lucky," the gold-selling "Stronger," and "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know," which was co-written by country diva Shania Twain and her producer Mutt Lange. A year after its release, Oops!...I Did It Again had sold over nine million copies. Rumors that Spears was dating *N Sync heartthrob (and fellow ex-Mouseketeer) Justin Timberlake were eventually confirmed, which only added to the media attention lavished on her. For her next album, Spears looked ahead to a not-so-distant future when both she and much of her audience would be growing up. Released in tardy 2001, Britney tried to gift the singer as a more mature young lady, and was accompanied by mild hints that her personal life wasn't always completely puritanical. It became her third straight album to debut at number one, although this time around the singles weren't as successful; "I'm a Slave 4 U," "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a lady," and "Overprotected" every missed the Top Ten. In early 2002, Spears' feature-film debut, Crossroads, hit theaters, but its commercial performance was somewhat disappointing; moreover, her romance with Timberlake fizzled not long after. Spears next made a cameo appearance in Mike Myers' Austin Powers: Goldmember, and contributed a remix of "Boys" to the soundtrack. Meanwhile, sales of Britney stalled at four million copies, perhaps in part because a new breed of teenage female singer/songwriters, like Michelle Branch and Avril Lavigne, was emerging as an alternative to the highly packaged teen queens. Spears took a break from recording and performing for several months, and began work on a new album in early 2003. The results, In the Zone, reflected a wish to be taken seriously as a mature (though still highly sexualized) adult. Predictably, it topped the charts and launched several singles into orbit, including the musically adventurous "Toxic," "Everytime," and "Me Against the Music." In the Zone hit number one on the Billboard 200, and "Toxic" snagged a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. But by 2004 there were no longer any illusions of Britney's personal life being every wholesome candy canes and kisses. First there was the star's bizarre two-day marriage to childhood pal Jason Alexander, followed by the controversial, highly sexualized Onyx Hotel tour, which was eventually canceled (allegedly because of a knee injury) despite positive financial numbers. Starbucks and cigarettes were Britney's constant accessories in the endless paparazzi photos, and the revelation of her relationship with former backup dancer Kevin Federline made the tabloids even more ravenous. Spears and Federline married in September and were tabloid regulars in the months after the ceremony. (A photo of a barefoot Britney leaving a dingy gas station bathroom made the Internet rounds.) The couple also starred in Chaotic, a UPN reality show consisting mostly of their possess home videos that was met with howls from the critics and blogs. 2005 was no less eventful for Spears. She released Greatest Hits: My Prerogative that January, but it was the announcement of her pregnancy that really garnered the headlines. Sean Preston Federline was born in September, and a bidding war ensued for first rights to the baby photos. As the hubbub surrounding Sean's birth continued, Britney released a remix album just in time for the holiday season. In 2006,Spears discovered she was pregnant again; shortly after the birth of her second son, Jayden James Federline, she divorced Federline. Early in 2007, Spears went to Malibu, CA's Promises Treatment middle; when she left, she began working on her comeback album and performed a few tiny shows at home of Blues locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, Anaheim, and Las Vegas that May. Later that summer, however, plans to release an album were pushed back to 2008. ~ Steve Huey, every Music Guide

Resolved Question: What king of motorcycle would you recommend?

Hello, I am an 18 year old from Southern Illinois. I am looking to receive a motorcycle to steer back and forth to college on nice days. However, I am unsure what to receive. I am 6' 00" and about 350 lbs (I know, big guy). I want a motorcycle that I can feel comfortable on. This seems to make me thing I probably need a big bike. Next, I am looking for something that has decent speed but it doesn't need to be that quick as I am not going to doing something stupid. Next, I am on a limited budget. I will be looking at used bikes due to this. So I do not need something overly fancy or expensive. Finally, I
